How to type: key guide and tips

Long vowels are doubled: aa, ee, oo. A single a at the end is the short அ, so type ammaa for அம்மா.
Capital letters pick special sounds: N = ண, L = ள, R = ற, T = ட. Normal words in lowercase, Title Case or ALL CAPS all work.
n chooses ந / ன / ங / ஞ for you from the letters around it: nandri → நன்றி, sankam → சங்கம், andha → அந்த.
Doubled letters join up: kk → க்க, pp → ப்ப, tt → ட்ட. A consonant at the end of a word gets a dot (pulli).
Common words are corrected automatically (vanakkam → வணக்கம்). Untick “Smart spelling” for purely phonetic output.
